Overview

Dolce Brooklyn - Artisanal Gelato & Ice Cream is a charming ice cream shop nestled in the heart of Brooklyn at 204 Sackett St. This intimate spot offers a carefully curated selection of artisanal gelato, sorbets, and exquisite macarons, making it a must-visit for locals and visitors seeking a refined ice cream experience off the typical tourist path.

The highlight here is the dedication to authentic, handcrafted flavors. With nine gelato varieties and three sorbets, Dolce Brooklyn leans into classic options such as Pistachio, Stracciatella, and Fior di Latte, alongside unique offerings like Rose and Basil gelato infused in creative sundaes. Their mango and raspberry sorbets bring a refreshing, vibrant contrast. The Macarons, boasting an impressive eleven flavors, complement the gelato beautifully, elevating the dessert experience beyond ordinary.

Visitors appreciate the opportunity to sample before committing, a thoughtful touch given the rich flavor profiles and artisanal style. This allows guests to discover favorites like the refreshing mango or the sophisticated mint stracciatella. For those after a more decadent treat, the ice cream sundaes artfully combine gelato with macarons and toppings like crushed cones and lavender, crafting visually appealing and palate-pleasing desserts.

Though the shop itself is small, with limited outdoor seating and no indoor arrangements, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make it an inviting stop. Fans praise the staff’s kindness and openness, enhancing the low-key, under-the-radar nature of the shop. Whether you’re winding down after dinner or seeking a sweet gift to bring home, Dolce Brooklyn offers pints that cater perfectly to a discerning Manhattan and Brooklyn crowd who appreciate quality over hype.

Beyond the gelato, their Affogato with Pistachio Gelato and espresso creates a sophisticated blend of creamy and robust flavors—ideal for coffee lovers looking to elevate their dessert game. Each bite into a cone or waffle cone delivers a balance of texture and flavor that reflects the brand’s artisanal roots and commitment to quality.

In essence, Dolce Brooklyn is a hidden gem for those who value expertly made gelato, thoughtful flavor combinations, and the artisanal craft. Small yet impactful, it quietly serves a neighborhood and city audience seeking genuine indulgence without the usual crowds and noise. A delightful stop for ice cream connoisseurs and casual treat seekers alike.

Tiny shop with amazing macarons (11 flavors) and gelato. There are 9 flavors (with 3 sorbets), mostly the classics, but they are done extremely well. Prices are decent ($7 for 2 scoops) Strongly recommend, especially their sundae option with gelato, macaron and a drizzle. They do allow sampling and my favorites were the mango and mint stracciatella. All 4 that I tried were great. Macaron, I had the passion mango and it was amazing. Will definitely be back to try more flavors. There is some outdoor seating but no indoor seating.

Delicious place - I love places where the only bad review is a gripe on the price or amount. Price was fine, we got more scoops it was more than enough and definitely took 30+ bites to eat. Not sure how the hoarse from another review finished in 9 bites but human bites definitely take way more than that. lol . Friendly people, more than happy to let four of us try flavors and decide on our picks. Espresso pretty good to for helping wash everything down :-)

Cute little shop with some delicious macaroons. Good place to stop by and rest for a moment while perusing Brooklyn on foot. Thoroughly enjoyed the macaroons, got 6 different flavors and there were no misses!

They used to be seasonal, only selling ice cream, but they've expanded to sell coffee in the morning and it's so refreshing, The staff are so friendly and great baristas. Coffee, matcha, and other teas are great. Love that they are there all year long. And don't forget to say hi to Doug, he's the happy sponge who greats you, while you wait
